Why growers reach for a Swift Blocker

A soil-blocked seedling at transplant time — dense roots, air-pruned at the edges, no circling
A soil-blocked seedling at transplant time — dense roots, air-pruned at the edges, no circling

Roots that move without the shock

When a root hits the open edge of a block, air stops it — so seedlings build a dense, fibrous rootball instead of circling. They transplant like they barely noticed the move — most starts ready to plant out in about four weeks.

Seed before you eject

Sow the whole tray, dust with vermiculite, then press the blocks out. Faster than dip-and-press blockers — and impossible with them.

Kind to your hands

The lift-to-eject action skips the squeeze — no strain on the hand or wrist. Growers with carpal tunnel or arthritis tell us it's the difference that lets them keep sowing.

Made once, in Michigan

Stainless steel, handmade in southeast Michigan. A buy-it-once tool built to outlast a shelf of plastic trays.

I love this thing!!! It took no time to make soil blocks, and as I have arthritis in my hands, it wasn't too bad at all to squeeze them out.

Received my swift blocker and I’m so happy with it. This thing is solid! We get so used to inexpensive items manufactured overseas that when you hold a quality tool like this, the difference is shocking. I highly recommend this company and I’ll be ordering another size soon!

Just received a couple weeks ago. Looks well built, but unfortunately it arrived to me bent. I was able to bend it back to a useable state, but wish the packaging had been more protective. Haven’t used it yet, but am looking forward to experimenting with it soon.

So happy to use this! I love using soil blocks, but had stopped doing so when my production increased because cell trays were more time saving. That’s no longer true, and I’m loving how quickly my seeds are germinating, and how robust the seedlings are!

I’d like to hear from you with regard to the dibbling aspect. I’ve got two pieces and no dribblers. Was I supposed to purchase those separately? Kindly, Tracy Lowry Golden Hour Dahlias

Support a small business! This is beautifully made, solid and worth every cent. I have not been able to use it yet as we’re zone 4 and it’s getting cold here. Next season I’ll use it and I can’t wait!
